Accuracy challenges players to demonstrate their throwing precision by hitting a series of targets from various distances. This sport emphasizes control, focus, and consistency, rewarding players for their ability to make accurate throws under different conditions.
Objective
Throw the disc through a 1.5m x 1.5m square target as many times as possible from seven marked throwing stations.
Setup
- 7 throwing stations:
- 3 straight ahead: 13.5 m, 22.5 m, 31.5 m from the target
- 2 left-angle: 13.5 m & 22.5 m, each offset to the left
- 2 right-angle: 13.5 m & 22.5 m, each offset to the right
- Each station has a marked box (foul lines) for throwing.
- Players throw four discs per station (total of 28 throws).
Gameplay
- Complete all four throws from one station before moving to the next.
- Stations may be completed in any order.
- No person is allowed in the target or in the player’s line of sight during play.
- A “good throw” is one where the disc passes fully through the target plane from front to back without a foul or time violation.
- A throw is counted as good if it is judged not to have fully passed through the target plane due solely to its being pushed back by a catching net.
- Each good throw = 1 point.
Time Limit
- Players have 7 minutes to complete all 28 throws.
- Time starts on the first throw.
- A 1-minute warning will be given.
- Throws released after 7 minutes do not count.
Fouls
- The throw is a foul if any part of the player’s body touches or crosses the foul lines at the moment of release.
- Follow-through across the line after release is allowed.
- Fouls result in no points.
Discs
The two most popular are the Innova Makani/Zephyr or an Ultimate disc. You cannot use disc golf putters or anything that’s beveled (so essentially any golf discs). Most players use the Makani/Zephyr: https://www.innovadiscs.com/disc/makani. Another great disc is the JStar from Discraft (Junior Ultimate Disc). For a disc to be permitted in competition, it must have a minimum rim configuration of 75 (cannot be beveled).

General Setup

Tip: Although any results wouldn’t be eligible for WFDF World Records, you can adjust the size of the target, the distances and the positions, as you like. When you have only limited space available, make sure you can turn the target for the “side” throws from the two shortest throwing positions — allowing you to play this event indoors.
